I like them better than the LP Claws because they are much easier to position - the flexible arm on this thing lets you put your mic exactly where you want it. I realize a recording purist would say something on the rim may change the sound of the drum, but I don't hear it, especially in a live rock gig. this is really helpful in tight set ups.
